Hello! My name is Chris Machinski, a visual artist based in Rhode Island. I paint everything from highly accurate images of insects to very abstract dream-like pieces inspired by the microscopic.
I graduated with B.S. in Marine Biology from the University of New Haven in 2013. I continued my education at the Rhode Island School of Design where I completed a certificate in natural science illustration in 2016. I have always been fascinated with the small ecosystems I would find under rocks, in a single drop of water, or even within our own bodies. It's amazing how complex and important these little worlds can be in the grand scheme of things and I hope to capture that within my work.
